Title: Finish Carpenter, Residential Remodeling
Location: Southern Maine
Salary: $30 / $36 an hour – Paid WEEKLY

Job Summary
As a finish carpenter, you’ll have the chance to work on various projects, including cabinet making, framing, decking, window and stair customizations, crown molding, and baseboard installations. Our ideal candidate has an aptitude for precision and can accommodate unique build requirements from clients.
We prefer candidates with prior experience or training in trim carpentry or finish carpentry but are also excited about the opportunity to train a motivated individual who works hard and learns quickly.
You must be prepared to work in different types of weather conditions. We primarily work with local residential clients, making travel necessary. All applicants must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Load and unload necessary equipment and materials
- Perform finish and trim carpentry work according to plans and specifications
- Measure, cut, and install various fixtures and millwork for doors, windows, ceiling panels, staircases, decking, and furniture
- Be familiar with the applicable code
- Collaborate with other carpenters, journeymen, and supervisors to complete projects
- Troubleshoot and repair issues with building components and equipment
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations when operating tools
- Report any safety concerns to the lead carpenter and office manager
Requirements and Qualifications
- Completion of a relevant finish carpentry training program or apprenticeship (preferred)
- Five or more years of carpentry experience
- Blueprint reading skills
- Adept with industry tools and carpentry techniques; Skilled with both standard hand tools and power tools
- Keen attention to detail
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Punctual and follow all safety regulations
- Flexible schedule
- Able to work independently or as an active member of a team
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Physical stamina to perform physical tasks in various weather conditions
- Ability to physically stand, bend, squat; to lift at least 35 pounds, but not more than 75 pounds alone; and to work at heights of over 8 feet
- PPE and carpentry trade tools
Terms:
Pay: $30 / $36 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
