Title: Carpenter, Residential Remodeling
Location: Southern Maine
Salary: $28 / $32 an hour – Paid WEEKLY
Special Benefits: 2 Weeks PTO, Retention Bonuses

Job Summary
You must be proficient with all relevant power and hand tools. We expect you to be prepared with the correct tools needed for the day’s work OSB does provide some of the larger tools. Our ideal candidate is reliable, arrives on time, and has experience with general carpentry tasks, including framing, hanging doors and windows, installing sheetrock and plywood, backerboard and blocking.
You must be prepared to work in different types of weather conditions although the majority of our work is interior.. We primarily work with local residential clients, making travel necessary. All applicants must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Load and unload necessary equipment and materials
- Review plans and blueprints to ensure you understand the project’s scope
- Perform duties to progress the project to completion
- Communicate with other construction team members to ensure the accuracy of tasks
- Ensure construction tools are cleaned and stored properly
- Maintain a safe and clean job site by safely handling and storing materials.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations when operating tools
- Report any safety concerns to the lead carpenter and office manager
Requirements and Qualifications
- Completed a carpentry training program or apprenticeship (preferred)
- Three or more years of experience in construction
- Proficient with industry tools and carpentry techniques; Able to use common hand tools and power tools
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Punctual and follow all safety regulations
- Flexible schedule
- Able to work independently or as an active member of a team
- Strong communication skills
- Physical stamina to perform physical tasks in various weather conditions
- Ability to physically stand, bend, squat; to lift at least 35 pounds, but not more than 75 pounds alone; and to work at heights of over 8 feet
Terms:
Pay: $28 / $32 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
