OUR STORY

Owner Warren O’Shea has been in remodeling and construction for more than 30 years. So when he started his self-named business, he took the responsibility seriously.

With more five-star reviews than any other contractor in the state of Maine—not to mention a few stints on HGTV, DIY, and the Food Network along with a citizenship award from the Portland Police for “detaining an armed felon during a robbery”—what’s attached itself to O’Shea’s business is a reputation for quality, craftsmanship, and responsiveness. He says even the simple act of returning calls within 24 hours sets him apart from the competition. But O’Shea has done more than that to grow his business over the years.

First off, along with being a remodeler, he’s a certified home inspector and he’s working to make sure all his employees get the same certification. “Now they’re looking at each renovation job in an entirely different scope,” he says. “They’re looking at the entire house, not just the part of the house we happen to be working on.”

For O’Shea, it goes back to providing the kind of customer service he can proudly associate with his name. Another simple way O’Shea demonstrates that commitment is with the mandate that employees find out how clients like their coffee so they can provide coffee and donuts once a week. He also tells them to take empty trashcans in from the curb and bring in newspapers. “It’s a service industry,” he says. “We’re all good craftsmen. So it’s all about customer service. It’s like being the best waiter you’ve ever had at your favorite restaurant.”

Meet Our People!

REMODELING TEAM

Brian

Brian

Carpenter, Fisherman, Jack of All Trades

I’m Brian, and I’ve been working in carpentry for about 20 years. Outside of work, I like hanging out with my wife, Olivia, our son Cale, and our pack of animals at home. On weekends, you’ll find me outdoors, especially in the summer when I compete in bass boat tournaments around Southern Maine

CHANDLER

CHANDLER

Carpenter, Builder, Woodworker & Tile Installer

Hi, my name is Chandler and I have been in the construction field for around 5 years. Out of the years I have been in the field I’ve done a little bit of everything, wood working, drywall, tile, framing, and more. I have a family background in all things construction, and from a young age I knew I would like to satisfy customers in getting the product they want.  I aspire to make people’s dreams come true from new kitchens to new decks. I am always looking to learn new innovations and ways of building.

KC

KC

Carpenter, Builder, Woodworker & Tile Installer

Hi, my name’s KC. I’m a carpenter with a diverse background in construction, social work, and hospitality. I believe connecting to clients with kind, respectful communication is key to bringing their ideas to fruition, which makes everyone happy. Attention to detail and integrity go hand in hand when constructing something great, and they are the cornerstone of the O’Shea process. Since working for O’Shea Builders, I’ve been learning to build the right way. The gratitude and optimism I feel everyday to work for a company that actually cares about the well-being of its employees permeates into every project, and I feel that disposition leads to the best results.
TED Geschickter

TED Geschickter

Carpenter

My name is Ted Geschickter. I have been in the construction industry for all my adult life, and I still enjoy it. I value every person that is involved in each project. With this in mind, I believe it is possible to achieve great things and have positive outcomes. Just average is something I do not like to consider as an option. I enjoy fine woodworking such as finish millwork, cabinet and furniture making; however, I am capable and happy doing all phases of a job. I enjoy being creative. My experiences in building and remodeling have included: building new homes, working on commercial projects, historical renovations (including a courthouse), and of course many residential remodels. I have owned and been a partner in four construction businesses on the west coast. With all that, what I find most important is how we handle each situation, how we listen, and how we make every job a success that fits the client’s needs and expectations. I am very happy to be working with O’Shea Builders, they give me the opportunity to achieve that.

In my free time I enjoy organic gardening, the outdoors, hiking, and music.

Since then I’ve moved to Maine and painted residential and commercial interiors/exteriors all throughout Mid-Coast Maine and Cumberland County. I’m experienced with using a spray rig for 25 years. I do everything from paint prep to cutting & rolling to spraying. I’m experienced with painting entire interiors & exteriors. I’m honored to represent O’Shea Builders Painting Division.

DEVIN CLARK

Interior/Exterior Painter
I’m Devin Clarke, a professional painter who has experience painting both interior & exterior homes. Having painted for 3 years under the leadership of my father, Michael Clarke (yes, he’s my Dad – we are a father/son team) I’ve learned from his 30 years of experience. I continue to learn and hone my painting skills working day to day in the field. From prepping to painting I always give my best effort to complete the task at hand.
